Title

Evaluation of the knowledge of nutrition among postgraduates and students at the faculty of health care, Collegium Medicum, the Jagiellonian University

Abstract

The aim of the study was to evaluate the knowledge about human nutrition among postgraduates and Public Health students at the faculty of Health Care. The number of respondents was 151. An anonymous survey consisting of 3 parts including 20 questions was used. In Part A the questions were related to the sources of nutrients, in Part B the questions referred to the influence of nutrients on the risk of the occurrence of certain metabolic diseases, the so-called civilisation diseases. Part C included the questions related to nutritional habits. The respondents showed inadequate knowledge of proper nutrition.
