Title

Genetically modified food and consumer safety

Abstract

This paper present a critical review on the introduction of genetically modified foods on Polish market taking into account different aspects of consumer safety. Legal statute of transgenic food in Poland as well as all precautions related to the genetical tramsformation of organisms are discussed. In this review are also presented modem methods for heterologic genes and protein detection.
