Metal sorption capacity of cadmium in presence of magnesium on pomace dietary fibre

Abstract

The aim of this investigation was to determine cadmium sorption in the presence of magnesium on black currant pomace fibre preparations and their compositions with apple pomace, as well as the influence of special fractions and its sorptional capacities. Both pomace preparations bound cadmium in about 35%, independent of the experimental conditions, whereas the mixed preparation was a better magnesium desorbent.
