Title
Occurrence of Cronobacter sp. in selected food products
Abstract
The objective of the research study was to determine the occurrence frequency of Cronobacter sp bacteria in some selected food products, particularly in the preparations for infants and babies. Analyzed were 160 samples from dairy factories; the samples tested comprised fresh and powdered milk products. The retail product samples comprised the preparations for infants and babies, seasoning products, and teas (black, herbal, and fruit teas). The Cronobacter sp bacteria were not found in the preparations for infants, however, these bacteria were isolated from fresh milk obtained in a dairy factory, as well as from some seasoning products and teas.
