Title

Consumer attitudes toward the pro-healthy value of food

Abstract

In the paper, the research results obtained by various authors were presented, who focused on the consumer attitudes toward healthy diet and healthy food. As shown in the research citied, the pro-healthy food was more important for women with university education, who had young children and sick family members, for the elderly, and for those on a special diet. The main factors influencing food choice were: food sensory properties, quality, and freshness. A healthy diet and a pro-healthy value of foodstuffs were less important than the taste. This is important information for food technologists and food manufacturers when introducing a new product in the market.
