Characteristic of foods for ethnic religions and social groups
Abstract
The paper concerns the characteristic of so called „ethnic food” also of alternative ways of nutrition, which are the most popular in Poland. The basic concepts of kosher diet and classification of kosher food products are presented. The paper describes Chinese cuisine which is integrally bounded with philosophy and Chinese medicine. It discussed the basic ideas of Diamond’s diet. Also motives of people choosing vegetarian life style are listed and different vegetarian diets and their effects on human health are presented.
