Residues of heavy metals and organochlorine pesticides in milk from selected farms of Krakow’s region
Abstract
There were analysed the heavy metals residues (lead, copper, zink) and organochlorine pesticides (HCH and DDT) in selected farms of Krakow’s region. The content of heavy metals was assessed by invers chromvoltamperometric method, after the liofilisation and mineralisation of milk samples. The gas chromatography method was used for assessing the presence of organochlorine pesticides. There were present the residues of assessed haeve metals and pesticides in all examinated milk samples. In all milk samples the average content of lead, copper and zink was greater than content of those allowed by Polish Standard. In comparison with other authors results the comparatively high level of milk pollution by organochlorine pesticides was found.
