The main problems of school children nutrition in the context of socioeconomic situation in Poland are presented, taking into consideration the indices of physical development of that group of population. The main dietary errors, their health effects as well as their influence on learning effectiveness are discussed. The causes of the observed phenomena are given. Summing up, the measures which should be taken to solve these problems are presented.
