Many international groups of professionals perform innovative and legal works aimed at the establishment of uniform global legal principles of application of declarations concerning foodstuff nutrition and health properties. In many countries such declarations have already been applied. At present there is an urgent need to establish uniform principles of their application in order to protect consumers against a possible misleading information and unfair trade competition. The present stage of discussion over that matter in the European Union has been reported and the present stage of legal regulations now in force in Poland has been presented.
