Prospects and tendencies in gerodietetic food production development
Abstract
In the paper some problems pertaining to functional food with gerodietetic properties are presented. Considering the observed demographic tendency, which as regards the population of elderly people is on the rise, the significance of the problems which modem gerodietetics faces is shown. A survey of the most important additives with geroprotective properties is made and the new market section, which the food products for elderly people make, is characterized by industrial branches.
