Title

The consumption of meat of some selected animal species in Slovakia

Abstract

In the paper, meat consumption traditions in Slovakia are outlined, as are the most important aspects of meat qualities, which decide on it being a component of the people’s sustenance. There are presented trends in consuming some selected animal species in Slovakia; the major reason is indicated why the beef consumption level in Slovakia has been decreased.
