Studies on dietary habits of Polish and Belgian student
Abstract
Knowledge on consumer preferences connecting various food products, and also determination factors conditioning them, is very important both to assess nutrition pattern as to be an important source of information for producers and business men. The aim of the work was to compare dietary habits of meat, vegetable, fish and spices and beverages by Polish and Belgian students. It was interesting to find that majority of students from both countries considered their nutritional habit as a correct one. Polish students declared coffee and tea consumption considerably often and Belgians – vegetables and dishes of foreign countries. Poles liked mostly fried meat and fish and Belgians preferred mostly roasted food.
