Title

The influence of an agrotechnical level on yielding and infestation of oats (Avena sativa)

Abstract

The strict field tests were carried out in the years 1993-1997 on the slightly acid podzol developed from coarse sandy one (good rye complex). An experimental object was made by oats (Komes cultivar) cultivated on two agrotechnical levels (full and simplified). The results of 3 years experimental period show that oats yielding and weight of 1000 grain did not depend on an agrotechnical level and reached values of 3,56 t per ha and 30,4 respectively. The full level of agrotechnics had a significant effect on an infestation decrease of an oats canopy. Weed amount went down six times, while their biomass over ten times. The dominant weeds were mainly short-lived ones like: Chenopodium album, Polygonum convolvulus, Viola arvensis and Apera spica-venti (78,7% of total infestation).
