Title

Agricultural, energy and economic effectiveness of oats and barley cultivation on light soil

Abstract

This work includes an agricultural, energy and economic evaluation of fodder grain production (covered oats and barley – single and mixed planting) on light soil. In single planting oats chaffed had the highest yield, while the yield of spring barley and naked oats gave 12% lower yield. Among mixes the highest yield had the mix of covered oats with barley. The energy value per yield (MJ per/hectare) and the energy effectiveness coefficient were best in oats chaffed. The lowest energy effectiveness characterized the spring barley production. Regardless of the sowing method the cost of production of 1 ton of grain was high while the economic effectiveness was low. The production cost of 1 ton of naked oats, Akt, was 16,4 zloty (8%) lower than that of the covered oats – German.
