Title
Comparison of yielding of barley mixture with naked and covered oats
Abstract
Field experiment was conducted at Lipnik near Stargard Szczeciński and at Strzelce near Kutno in 1997 year. The experiment included: 2 naked oats cultivars Akt and STH 296, covered oat cv. Bajka, barley cv. Rataj and 50 % mixtures of each cultivar of oat and barley. Yield and its components were determined. Regarding the hull content, which was 28 % of kernel weight the compared mixtures yielded similarly. The barley was especially strong competitive with cv. Akt, decreasing the number of panicles per m2 and proportion of oat grains in the mixture.
