Basing on yield levels and elements of yield structure as well as on meteorological data from the years 1985-1990 and 1994-1997, oats reaction to weather was analysed. There were no relationship between yielding and total precipitation and mean temperatures in AprilJuly period. It was indicated that yielding of oats depended mostly on rainfall in June and temperatures in May. It yielded best when cool May was followed by wet June with rainfall of 80-100 mm.
