Title

Evaluation of consumers’ food and nutrition preferences

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyse and to evaluate consumers behaviour in the field of food consumption and eating habits. Market research using questionaire’s method were held in March 1995 in Warsaw and rural areas situated near Siedlce. Some aspects of consumer behaviour, as frequency of purchase and consumption, preferred places of purchase, as well as factors influencing purchase of food in relation to the place of living, education, income and the size of household were analyzed. Freshness, flavour, and effect on health were the most important factors influencing food choice.
