Effect of dietary supplementation with inulin-type fructans and chromium(III) on magnesium metabolic indices in rat

Abstract

The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of dietary supplementation with inulin-type fructans (inulin, oligofructose) and chromium(III) on magnesium metabolic indices in rat. It was found that high-fructans diets (10%) increased Mg bioavailability, while supplementary Cr(III) (5 mg/kg) did not affect Mg metabolic indices in rat.
