Inquiry investigations of fast food consumption by cracowian students and high-school pupils
Abstract
In autumn of 1994 cracowian students and high-school pupils were polled about consumption of fast food. About ninety seven percent declared to be a consumer of food of this type, 57.6 % constated they make it accidently. Factors determining purchase of these foods were accesibility (46.5 %) and atractiveness (35.4 % of inquired). Results of poll confirmed the observations made by other authors that fast food was consumed by the majority (77.8 % of inquired) as a snack between main meals. Observed great popularity of fast food contributes to over-weight and stoutness of potential consumers due to its energy value.
