Assessment of influence of the A, E and C vitamins diet supplementation on their contents of advanced age people blood plasma

Abstract

The aim of the work was the estimation of the vitamins A, E and C concentration in the plasma of 22 healthy elder persons, before and after 30 days of additional supplementation. Vitamins were determined with double beam spectrophotometer UV/Vis Lambda 14p (Perkin Elmer). Before additional supplementation the lower content of vitamins was observed. The 30 days diet supplementation by vitamins caused increase of their content in the serum in 15% adults.
